Takydromus toyamai : ウィキペディア英語版 | Takydromus toyamai
''Takydromus toyamai'', also known as Miyako grass lizards, are small lizards. They rarely exceed 10" in length. (Most of that is tail). They are usually green, while some juveniles can be brown. They are active lizards coming out during the day to forage for small insects. This genus of takydromus are only found on Okinawa, one of the Ryukyu islands in Japan. They are listed as endangered by the ICUN due to deforestation, and the introduction of peacocks and weasels. If you choose to keep them as pets, Miyako grass lizards like the temperature to be around 80-90 degrees during the day, and 60-75 degrees at night. They prefer it if the humidity is around 78%.
